Malauri Ruth Wilkinson of Muskegon, age 12, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2012 of an aneurysm. She was born November 10, 1999, to Michael and Lucinda Wilkinson in Muskegon. Malauri loved Jesus, and she was a member of Ecclesia Church in Muskegon. Malauri attended West Shore Lutheran School from preschool to the present; she would have been in 7th grade this fall. At school, she was an active participant in basketball, volleyball, softball, musicals, and band. She also was a Girl Scout and a member of Ottawa County 4-H. Malauri played the trumpet since the 5th grade, under the instruction of Mr. Jim Lawrence, whom she dearly loved. Along with her family, Malauri was an active supporter of the Mona Shores Marching Band, and she was excited to go to band camp. Malauri was a gifted artist, and she especially loved drawing animals, her greatest passion. Her new best friend, a 10-month-old Samoyed puppy named Sully, honored her love of animals by staying with her at the time of her passing.
