I forgot to post Colin's finish picture. Here he is with Mike. Don't they both look great?

Carrie and Big

It has been beautiful here in West Michigan these last few days. Mike and I took a few minutes to take Carrie and Big out on the deck for a photo shoot. This is Carrie on the left and Big on the right. Carrie is a little bit shy and wasn't too sure about the deck. Big on the other hand was enjoying himself completely.

Frosting on the Cake

It is always a great day when you finish a new champion, but Colin put the frosting on the cake when he ended up the day and his class dog career in a big way by going Group 3! Wow, what a happy day for Mike and Colin. Just wish I had been there to cheer them on. Many thanks to handler Karen Chisam who gave me some great tips on grooming when we were at the American Pomeranian Specialty. It really helped bring out the best in Colin.

New Champion!

We have a new champion at DreamWeaver! Mike finished Colin at the Saginaw Valley Kennel Club show in Birch Run this morning! Colin was Best of Breed for two points to finish his championship. Mike is a very happy camper and I am thrilled for him. Just wish I could have been there to see it! I'll post a picture as soon as we get it back from the photographer. (about a week) Colin is now
Ch. DreamWeaver's Enduring Freedom!
There are three things that happen when you become a champion. If you are a boy dog like Colin you get to flirt in a big way with the girls. Yup, it is o.k. to make puppies at least with the right girl. Second from now on you are called a "special" which is dog show lingo for champion. And third for the rest of time whenever your name appears in a pedigree it is written in red ink. Just a little special way the dog show world signifies that Colin indeed is special.

What's for dinner?

So I was getting ready to put dinner on the table and I turned around and saw a huge hulking mass on my table. Well I thought I should just proceed and see what would happen. As you can see, Wrangler must have been very tired.....cause he never even noticed the hamburgers! Imagine his surprise when I woke him up and told him his nap was over and he had to move!

Visitor

Carrie and Big had their first visitor on Monday. Jinnifer came by and spent some time crawling around on the floor with me and the kids. We had a lovely time playing with puppies and watching their antics with their mom. Doesn't Jinnifer look like she wants to take one home? I checked her pockets on the way out the door!
