Boston's New Title!

Boston surprised me with a nice performance in Open A today at the Samoyed Club of America Specialty in Topeka! She was 1st place and has a new title of Companion Dog Excellent. She is now CH Starbuck's Solid Gold T-Party CDX RE! She won a beautiful trophy which is a sculpture of a dog on a sled. Can't wait to see the pictures.

My Wooden Sammy

We are headed to Topeka for the Field of Dreams 2008 Samoyed Club of America national specialty. One of the fund raisers this year is a competition of art embellished wooden Samoyeds. To enter the contest a fee of $20. was paid and each contestant received an identical cut out of a Samoyed. It is about 1/2 inch thick and a little over a foot tall. All over the country Samoyed fanciers have been painting, and embellishing their wooden Samoyeds for the contest. Once at the national they will be on display and there is a prize for the best one. Later all of them will be auctioned off with proceeds going to support the club. Mine is almost done. Here she is!

Kody Bear

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of visiting with Kody Bear and Lorraine. We worked on his coat to give him a fresh look for his upcoming birthday when he will be 14 years old. He is still as beautiful as ever and always watchful for the cookie coming his way.
