Rocky Goes Home

Lucky Green Boy has found a family of his own and a new friend named Travis. Rocky aka Solid Gold's LA Vieux Carre will be living in the Chicago area with Ramona, Tom, Rachel and Travis.

A Thank You for Deb

At the trial on Friday I recognized the rally judge as someone who made a special memory for one of my friends. Several years ago my friend Deb and her beautiful but silly Samoyed Cubby were showing in obedience in Wisconsin. Cubby put his head through the ring gate to visit someone during his heeling pattern. Deb was not very happy and a bit embarrased. Later the judge called her into the ring for her ribbon. "But I didn't qualify" exclaimed Deb. "Today, in my ring you did!" said the judge. Deb was thrilled and often talked about how a day can seem to be going so badly and then someone turns it around with a simple kindness. She and Cubby did deserve their ribbon that day and I was happy for her. We often laughed about it together. So yesterday I shared the story with the judge. You see, Deb lost her battle with pancreatic cancer last year so I wanted to tell the judge she gave my friend a special memory and happiness. I wasn't sure the judge would remember, but she said, "Oh that was in Fon du lac." "Yes Fon du lac". We both cried a little and embraced the memory of Deb and her beautiful friend Cubby.

New Title for Treasure

Solid Gold Bearied Treasure has a new Rally Advanced title having finished it at the Traverse City dog show on Friday with a 98 and 2nd place. She was the most naked dog there having given up her beautiful Samoyed coat for her puppies, but we didn't care. No hair on a hot day is very nice indeed.

The Fastest Clipper Ship

Solid Gold Flying Cloud is named after the fastest clipper ship ever built. She makes her home with Bill and Sharon Code and will run on the Starbuck sled team as well as hit the show ring when she is a bit older. Little Clipper is making herself right at home.

Orange Boy Goes Home

Orange Boy is now Augustus! He is also known as Solid Gold Vit Krigare (White Warrior) a fitting name for an impressive future show boy . He is loved by Gregg and Penny and will be living close by in West Michigan.

Red Boy and Lorraine Find Love

It was a long wait, but Red Boy has his forever home and Lorraine has her new love. His name is Solid Gold Kodiak's Treasured Snobear and he is a gift from his great great grandpa Kody Bear to Lorraine. Polar will be going home soon to be loved and spoiled by Lorraine and Dan.

Evenings at the Beach

We love to walk to the beach and enjoy an ice-cream cone on warm summer evenings. Last night Phantom and Mike stopped to enjoy the moment.

Today's Visitors

Today it was Theresa, Hannah, Megan and Sarah Ann visiting Treasure and her family. Treasure and Boston were very taken with Sarah!

It is MINE!

Clipper has an apple and she wont' let any of her brothers have it. They chased her for ten minutes. She figured out she could put it up on the sofa and they couldn't get it there. Then she proceeded to eat it in front of them.
